Lion and the Lamb;God So Loved;Psalm 46;What a Beautiful Name;Christus Victor (Amen);O
祈求耶和華向你顯現祂,成為_____________、_____________、_____________.....
鼓勵成熟的基督徒以屬靈父母的心陪伴他們,建立真誠的關係,並主動把他們帶入一個充滿愛與接納的信仰群體中;
Tribes
Gratitude + Great Are You Lord (Zac Rowe/Gateway Worship)
Banner(布魯克·利格特伍德飾)

Preparation
Feb 17 Tuesday
Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” (Joshua 3:5)
…present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. (Romans 6:13)
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22)
Acknowledge you were once dead in your trespasses and have been made alive in Christ – it is by grace you have been saved. (Ephesians 2:5, Colossians 2:13)
Confess any sin that would frustrate your prayers. Receive God’s forgiveness. (1 John 1:9)
Surrender your time and attention to faithfully pray. (Romans 12:11)
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray the prayers that are on God’s heart. (Romans 8:26-27)
Offer your heart to be enlarged by God’s love for Muslim seekers and new believers.
Feb 18 Wednesday
There are nearly 2 million Muslims in Canada, almost 5% of our population and growing. Though not uniform in practice, they are united by faith in a God, a book, and a prophet. They have the command and various strategies to extend the “House of Islam”. And they are formidable in prayer.
Build your faith. Take time to worship Yahweh, the God whose relentless love sends Him after the lost, who planned our salvation from before the foundation of the world, who sent His Son Jesus (whose Hebrew name Yeshua means salvation) as a sacrifice for all: the risen victorious King of the Nations who graciously invites us to be with Him where He is. Worship the God for whom nothing is impossible,
Make your own list of His attributes and extol Him for His virtues throughout the day.
Some songs suggested for your worship (or choose your own):
Lion and the Lamb;God So Loved;Psalm 46;What a Beautiful Name;Christus Victor (Amen);O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus; The Love of God is Greater Far
Week One: Come to the Father
Feb 19 Thursday
I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to Me, “You are My Son; today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your heritage and the ends of the earth Your possession…”…Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son…Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. (Psalm 2:7-8, 10-12)
Psalm 2 is a sobering analysis of the world’s rebellion against God. But the Majesty in heaven has already determined that the nations will belong to His Heir. He promises wrath for those who reject the Heir but blessing for those who choose to take refuge in Him.
Praise the Father, who desires that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9), but invites all to come to Him and enjoy His gracious blessings.
Pray for Islam’s “kings” (leaders, teachers and jurists) to hear and heed God’s warning to “kiss the Son” and to feel the weight of responsibility for the destiny of those they lead.
Pray local mosques will cease taking “counsel together against the LORD and His Anointed” (vv 2-3) and become places where believers come to “serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling”.
Feb 20 Friday
Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And He said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you…This is My name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.’” (Exodus 3:13-15)
Friday is the day Muslims gather for communal prayer and a sermon. They pray to “Allah”, Arabic for “The God”, who is omnipresent but not manifest, too transcendent to be present in human affairs. About 2500 years ago, the true God revealed His name to be YHWH (Yahweh, “I am”). He makes Himself present in creation, time, and human affairs. He wants to have relationship with us and us with Him.
Thank YHWH for revealing Himself to you as ___________, __________, __________...
Pray that as Muslims devote themselves to prayer this Friday, their hearts would reject Allah’s distance and yearn to know the God who knows them and invites them to come into relationship.
Thank YHWH that He is quick to respond to our desire for Him.
Feb 21 Saturday
Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name? Surely you know! (Proverbs 30:4)
Islam insists it is impossible for God to have a son since Allah has no partners or associates in lordship or
worship. We all struggle to understand the mystery of the Godhead. Only revelation can enable one’s
acceptance of the Creator’s capacity to have an uncreated Son with whom He is One.
Worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
In prayer, by faith, destroy this argument raised against the knowledge of God and take captive to Christ the prohibition in Islam against questioning its doctrines. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to Muslims the necessity of loving relationship within the Godhead for the personification of love to come to us in the form of the divine Son.
Feb 22 Sunday
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. (Galatians 4:4-7)
Islam considers Ishmael a son of Abraham, a patriarch, and ancestor of their prophet. The Bible identifies him as the son of the slave, Hagar (Genesis 21:10, Galatians 4:24-25), destined for strife (Genesis 16:11-12).
Rejoice! We have inherited sonship through Christ! Approach Abba as His precious child.
Watch and listen to Song for Ishmael. Ishmael means “God hears”.
Beseech the Father to hear and answer the Muslim cry for assurance of the Father’s love.
Feb 23 Monday
Read Genesis 22:1-18
Canadian Yasmine Mohammed, a former Muslim, has become a globally influential polemicist against Islam and activist for abused and closeted Muslims. She writes in her memoir, Unveiled, that because of the cruelty she suffered in Islam, she cannot accept any God who would command Abraham to kill his son.
Declare your faith that Father’s heart has hope and healing for every abused and wounded soul.
A verse in the hymn Crown Him with Many Crowns depicts angels with burning eyes, unable to bear the sight of Jesus’ “rich wounds” of crucifixion, and describes as a mystery how the wounds become “in beauty glorified”. Pray for Yasmine and those like her to be healed from the ravages of Islam to see God’s command to Abraham as foreshadowing what He and His Son would do together to bless all humankind, and to be comforted in the revelation of YHWH’s sacrificial love that destroys sin.
Feb 24 Tuesday
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never cast out…For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:37, 40)
“Insha’allah”. “If God wills.” Used by Muslims to express hope, faith in divine will, and uncertainty about Allah’s unknowable will, even for one’s ultimate destiny. But YHWH’s will is certain and has been spoken by His Son.
Thank the Father for the clarity of His intentions to save and His provision of the means to be saved.
Pray for Muslims to look on His Son Yeshua in dreams and visions this Ramadan, come to Him, and be given grace to believe in Him. Name Muslims you know in this prayer.
Ask the Father for the privilege of revealing His glory in Jesus’ face to a Muslim. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
Feb 25 Wednesday
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Fear is a powerful motivator in Islam: fear of failure to earn Allah’s favor, fear of judgment and Hell, and fear of the communal zeal to enforce conformity and protect the faith. Muslims must count the cost, even of their lives, of acknowledging Jesus. Fear of God for Christians is reverential awe (Hebrews 12:28-29) and confidence that no one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand (John 10:29).
Sit before the LORD and consider the ties of birth, belief, family, and community binding Muslims to
Islam versus the inestimable value of following Christ. Pray the love of the Father prevails over fear.
Pray new believers will be shielded by angels (Hebrews 1:14) and loved sacrificially by the Church.
Week Two: Come to His Son
Feb 26, Thursday
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all…I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.” (John 3:31, 16:28)
And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:17)
Islam says Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, received the contents of a book, the Qur’an, from heaven. He was of the earth, spoke in an earthly way and returned to the earth. Not so the Son.
Agree with Jesus’ declaration that He is above all. Make your praises glorious!
Ask the Spirit to lift the eyes of Muslims from the things of earth to see the exalted Jesus, hear His life-altering words, and receive a revelatory upgrade in their hearts in how God reveals Himself to humans. “May the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”
Rejoice that in our time God is exchanging dust for glory across the Islamic world.
Feb 27 Friday
“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.” (Matthew 6:7)
Islam is famous for its ritual prayers. Millions will gather today in mosques, on otherwise busy streets, and even stadiums. They come to prayer with sincere desire to please God by praying rightly, praying enough, and receiving a special blessing because of the fast. And most will fear that it’s not enough.
Thank Jesus for His gracious invitation to come to Him for rest. Rest in Him right now.
Pray for Muslims in communal and private prayer today to have space and Holy Spirit intervention to hear His gracious invitation to come to Him and enter His rest.
Pray for Muslim women to know that God sees them (Genesis 16:13) and loves them.
Pray for former Muslims now following Jesus to be reminded that His burden is light, and He will be present for them even when their former community is not.
Pray the Body of Christ, the Church, will love Christians from Muslim background in tangible ways.
Feb 28 Saturday
“…do you say about He whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me and I am in the Father.” (John 10:36-38)
When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” (John 11:43-44)
Even the dead recognize Jesus’ voice and come out of the grave! Yet some who believe Jesus does miracles still believe it’s blasphemy to call Him the Son of God. (John 10:31-39).
Has Jesus done a miracle in your life? Tell someone!
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide Muslims who secretly believe that Jesus comes from God and is with God concerning when to reveal their faith and to whom. (John 3:2)
Pray for Muslims who begin to follow Jesus and have an evangelistic gift to be rewarded for their invitations to “Come see a man…” with family and friends as Kingdom fruit. (John 4:28-29)
Ask Jesus for opportunities to pray with Muslim friends and acquaintances for miracles in their lives.
Mar 1 Sunday
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil…But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God…I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness.” (John 3:19, 21, 12:46)
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
“I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12) No one but the Son who created the sun can make this claim. But Jesus goes further: He says to His followers, “You are the light of the world”! (Matthew 5:14)
Proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)
Pray that we the Church will be faithful in worship, beholding His glory and reflecting His very image (2 Corinthians 3:18) to Muslims, inviting them to come out of darkness into His glorious light.
Mar 2 Monday
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10)
Jesus’ Hebrew name Yeshua, meaning “God is salvation”, suggests deliverance and rescue and embodies deliverance as God’s mission from heaven to earth through Him.
Thank Jesus for the privilege of praying during His unprecedented and escalating rescue mission into the House of Islam, especially after 14 centuries of little fruit.
By faith, call those who long for righteousness to RUN into the name of the Lord Jesus. Pray specifically for your city or province.
Mar 3 Tuesday
“For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:22-24)
Judgment, with the verdict uncertain but eternal, is terrifying to anyone whose God is unpredictable. Muslims say they honor Jesus as a prophet, teacher and worker of miracles, falling short of what God requires.
Thank God for your salvation, and that His mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:13b)
Pray for Muslims who say they honor Jesus (in this partial way) to be confronted with His holiness.
Pray the lives of Christians will demonstrate the honor Jesus deserves.
Mar 4 Wednesday
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” …After this many of His disciples turned back and no longer walked with Him. So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that You are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:51, 66-69)
Jesus’ teaching was outrageous to human thinking, yet a few discerned the source of eternal life.
If possible, share communion with someone (online or in person) and give thanks for what God’s anointed Son purposed and accomplished in His flesh as a sinless human being.
Praise God for the mystery revealed: Christ in us, the hope of glory, and pray God will make known the greatness of the riches of this glory among Muslims, in your neighborhood and across Canada. (Colossians 1:27)
Simon Peter was a simple man, but passionate. Pray for the revelation of this mystery to take hold of simple people with the passion to make it known to others within the Muslim community.
Week Three: Come to His Word
Mar 5 Thursday
In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” (Isaiah 19:23-25)
Watch The Isaiah 19 Highway of Hope. Animosities and upheavals in the Middle East have spilled over into Canada in many ways, proving that world events are our concern. The words of the Old Testament Hebrew prophets continue to speak with relevance today.
Confirm in your heart that the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil and bring abundant life to the world. (1 John 3:8b, John 10:10)
Pray for Muslim seekers to find Al Massira, an “open place” to explore prophet stories from the Bible and think about life’s big questions, and discover that the prophets point to Jesus, who is above all.
Thank God He will fulfill this unique and profound “highway of hope” for Middle Eastern peoples.
Mar 6 Friday
Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” And He said to them, “When you pray, say, “Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.” (Luke 11:1-2)
As Muslims gather today to pray (men in the mosques and women usually at home), pray their hearts would yearn to know the God who knows them and wants to be known, who came down from heaven to reveal His nature to humankind, and who teaches with authority.
Pray that as they seek God with all their hearts, their ritual prayers would be interrupted by revelations of Jesus teaching them to pray and inviting them to seek Him in His written word.
Mar 7 Saturday
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)
Some Muslims are afraid to read the Bible. Others read it to disprove Christianity or to seek references to their prophet. Islam teaches that both Jews and Christians have altered its words and message and will be punished by God for doing so. But YHWH stands by His word, and His final word is Jesus. (Hebrews 1:1-3)
Ask the Holy Spirit to draw Muslims to diligently explore the Bible, and that the written word would speak to them of Jesus, reveal His glory, and captivate their hearts.
Pray they will find good translations in their heart languages in hard copy or online.
Pray for ministries that produce and distribute good Bible translations to be well funded, resourced with staff devoted to excellence, and effective in reaching those the Spirit has prepared in advance to receive the word and combine it with faith. (Hebrews 4:2 NASB)
Declare that God’s word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.
Mar 8 Sunday
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteous-ness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Ti 3:16-17 NIV)
Pray the Church would not see new believers from Muslim backgrounds as trophies in the conversion war, but would continue to invest in every aspect of their discipleship, including:
establishing relationships with mature Christians who will “father and mother” them,
intentionally including them in loving Christian community,
renouncing Islamic doctrine, rituals, and confessions of faith and adopting Christian tenets of faith,
developing their Bible literacy through studies suited to believers from Muslim backgrounds.
Mar 9 Monday
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” Now this He said about the Spirit… (John 7:37-38a)
And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.” (Revelation 21:6)
Wow! Jesus is offering not a formulaic set of rules to govern life, but free access to the continuous outflow of the source of life to accompany and interpret the written word and satisfy the thirst for a truly satisfying life!
Meditate on these scriptures. Do you experience Holy Spirit outflow in your life? If not, ask and receive! Jesus told His disciples they’d receive power from the Holy Spirit to witness to Him (Acts 1:8).
Praise the power and work of the Holy Spirit. Pray for that power to be released among seeking Muslims, congregations of former Muslims now following Jesus, and those from various cultures called to witness to their tribes/cultures/languages. (Acts 2:1-21)
Thank God the trickle of Muslim converts is growing to be a river and soon a flood. (Ezekiel 47:1-12)
Mar 10 Tuesday
When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder. (Luke 11:21-22 NIV)
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed… (Luke 4:18 referring to Isaiah 61:1)
One of the pieces of armor that protects the “strong man” of Islam is faith in the perfection of the Qur’an. Evidence increasingly challenges that claim, while evidence for the reliability of the biblical text grows.
In the Spirit of Jesus, proclaim liberty to those held captive to denial of the Qur’an’s fallibility.
In the same Spirit, proclaim recovering of sight for those blinded to evidence of the Bible’s reliability and inspiration by the Spirit of God.
Mar 11 Wednesday
I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
[For] this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice. (John 18:37b)
Thank God for opportunities for Muslim immigrants to Canada to learn the truth. (Acts 17:26-27) Pray not one will be denied at least three encounters with the Gospel in print, online, or in person.
By faith, call more harvesters into the ripe fields of Islam in Canada. (Luke 10:2)
Week Four: Come to His Glorious Throne
Mar 12 Thursday
One of the criminals who were hanged railed at Him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And He said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise.” (Luke 23:39-43)
Even on the cross, Jesus’ presence and practice caused controversy. Rather than lash out at His accuser, He responded to and enfolded the one who recognized Him as worthy to be King.
Listen to How Deep the Father’s Love for Us (Stuart Townend) and worship.
Pray Muslims will see Jesus Himself (not a substitute, as some Muslims speculate) on the cross, feel personally culpable, and come to the same conclusion as the second criminal.
Pray Muslims considering a decision to follow Christ will choose Him now and not delay.
Mar 13 Friday
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22 NIV)
During the last ten days of Ramadan, some Muslims stay in the mosque to seclude themselves from worldly affairs and focus on worship, supplication, charity, and reading the Qur’an. However, their efforts will never be enough to please God or qualify them to enter His presence.
Acknowledge the inadequacy of our efforts to qualify us to approach the Throne of Grace. Confess any sins that come to mind and receive the washing of Jesus’ blood.
By faith, enter the Most Holy Place and advocate for your Muslim friends and neighbors praying and fasting today in hopes of obtaining God’s favor.
- Pray they will experience visions of Jesus’ broken body and shed blood opening a new and living way for them to enter God’s presence.
- Pray they will surrender to God’s good, pleasing and perfect will to offer His own Son and pursue transformation by the renewing of their minds in truth. (Romans 12:2)
Mar 14 Saturday
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)
Pray through this well-known passage, line by line. Consider bowing your knee, as able, while you pray, as well as using other physical gestures of worship. Incorporate praise, gratitude, and supplication on behalf of Muslims. Conclude with a declaration that Jesus will have His reward of souls redeemed from Islam who have chosen by their own wills to bow the knee to Jesus and confess He is Lord.
Mar 15 Sunday
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed. (Revelation 15:4)
Worship around heaven’s throne, according to Revelation 4-5, focuses on the Lamb who has purchased with His blood “people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (5:9). Review Islam in our World on the LMT website to appreciate the profusion of Muslim people groups across Canada.
With these maps in mind, thank God for the diversity He has created and brought to Canada and for the sure hope He’s given in His word that every one of these people groups will be redeemed.
Which ones catch your eye – perhaps in your city or region or because you know someone from the country of origin? Hold up these people groups before God, answering the revelator’s question by declaring, “These ____________ will fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name!”
Mar 16 Monday (PROJECTED) NIGHT OF POWER
Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, to see My glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. (John 17:24)
You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love. (Song of Solomon 2:4)
The reward for sufficiently pleasing Islam’s god is a paradise abounding in worldly pleasures previously denied on earth. The prize for trusting Jesus is living in God’s glorious presence, on earth and in the afterlife.
Extol the beauty, inclusiveness, and power of love. Love never ends. (1 Corinthians 13:8a)
Jesus has asked the Father that those who believe in Him because of His disciples’ testimony be with Him (John 17:20), and because of love, His request is granted. Add your amen to Jesus’ prayer.
Do you believe love is powerful enough to supplant a jihadist’s dedication to accomplishing God’s will through violence? On the cross, Jesus exalted radical love over violence. Declare that even this is possible with God and pray that Canada will be spared Islamist violence and influence through government prevention and intervention, responsibility courageously taken by the broader Muslim community to deal with its own radicals, and the fervent prayer and outreach of the Church.
Mar 17 Tuesday
Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne…everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for My name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” (Matthew 19:28-30)
Islam promises guidance to help people succeed in faith and life. Jesus teaches that people need to be saved from their sin and promises treasure in heaven to those who confess His name.
Pray that Muslims coming into the Kingdom now at the end of the age, despite the many hardships they will endure, will be first in knowing, loving, and serving Jesus – and even become an example to parts of the Church that have grown complacent through the security and abundance of Kingdom blessing.
Pray they will transfer the discipline they developed through faithfully performing Islamic rituals of devotion, prayer, and fasting to their Christian faith, not as the slaves they once were, but as sons of the Father led by the Spirit. (Romans 8:14-15)
Pray that those who accept Jesus’ invitation to “Come, follow Me” will become “fishers of men” whose nets and boats overfill. (Mark 1:17, Luke 5:6)
Mar 18 Wednesday
You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2)
The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. (Revelation 22:17-21)
YHWH “desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4). His consistent invitation to “Come” is so profoundly gracious! Yet His command to neither add to nor take away from His word as written in the Bible is clear. The Qur’an and the Hadith are in clear violation of His will.
On this final day of fasting, plead for mercy for Muslims held captive by the doctrines of Islam, a powerful, all-inclusive deception that robs them of the knowledge of God and the blessings and freedom that are the rightful inheritance of God’s children.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the person of Jesus Christ, God the Son, to those Muslims who are worshipping a God they know to be true but who haven’t yet made the connection between their longing and Jesus. Jesus will point them to the Father.
Pray for Muslim families to seek, find, and follow Christ together so they may strengthen and encourage one another to secure their share in the tree of life and the holy city.
Mar 19 Thursday CELEBRATION
Now thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ and through us reveals the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God a sweet fragrance of Christ among those who are saved and among those who perish. To the one we are the fragrance of death, which brings death, and to the other the fragrance of life, which brings life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many are who peddle the word of God. Instead, being sent by God, we sincerely speak in Christ in the sight of God. (2 Corinthians 2:14-17 MEV)
Muslims call this day Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast). This joyful celebration can take up to 3 days and encompasses themes of family, charity, specific prayers of thanks, and requests for forgiveness. How do you want to celebrate the conclusion of our Ramadan prayer? Perhaps you’ve been invited by Muslim friends to a fast-breaking meal, or you perhaps you will invite some believers from Muslim backgrounds to your home for dinner and games. You carry the sweet fragrance of Christ! Or perhaps others who have also been following the Prayer Guide will gather with you to celebrate. Make your praises glorious!
Some suggested songs of thanksgiving and praise:
Gratitude + Great Are You Lord (Zac Rowe/Gateway Worship)
Banner (Brooke Ligertwood)
Tribes (Victory Worship)
Praise (in Farsi & English, Darya Music)
Thanks for praying!!!
