Luis

Eastern Lawa
Eastern Lawa Sunday morning children's church at KongLoi village with kids.
Dongin and Jin (a Korean couple who live in the area and serve on the Eastern Lawa translation team) have two children's outreaches running on Saturday and Sunday mornings in two villages. Between 12 to 30 kids are showing up to hear Bible stories and learn Christian songs.
Praise God for the recent completion of a new building in BorSangae village that is specifically for outreach to the children. Pray they will reach the children there with the message of Jesus.
For the month of July, Greg Blok, project facilitator, plans to accompany the translation team to a workshop where they plan to get a consultant check for the Book of James. This will help the translation get ready for publication. Please pray for the team’s travels and for the logistics and preparation for the trip. Pray for two people (who are not on the translation team) who would be willing to travel to the workshop and participate as uninitiated translation testers.
The very first Eastern Lawa Christian that Greg and Rosi Blok met is Dawn*. She moved to Chiang Mai about ten years ago for schooling for her children. She was getting opposition from the non-Christians, so Dawn recently moved back to the village. She has nowhere to stay and is living with Tawan and Jum (translation team members). Tawan is asking for prayer for Dawn to find somewhere to live, and for patience for everyone with the current living situation.
Please pray for literacy work to start back up in the local schools. The schools have not invited the team back this year for further Lawa reading and writing sessions. The team would like to either get back into the two large schools they worked in last year or some new schools. There is also the possibility of adult literacy classes that the team would love to start. Pray for progress with the adult literacy idea as well as the school ministry.
Praise God the book of James is 99% finished and has been sent to the consultant.

AIDIA
Luis Cervantes, Director of AIDIA, shares: “In January, we traveled as a family to the community of Alianza Cristiana [located in the Southern Pastaza Quechua area of the] Peruvian jungle, with the aim of training leaders from various communities. It was a time of great blessing, during which more than 40 leaders were strengthened, and we also had the opportunity to fellowship with teachers, youth, and children.”
Ten Sunday school teachers were trained from six different communities and teaching sessions were held for 80 children focusing on New Testament Stories: The Life of Jesus and His Parables. Praise God for the volunteers from the city of Abancay who came to provide the training and to work with the children.
Luis says, “During the journey, we faced some difficult moments in which we clearly witnessed God’s faithfulness. On the way there, we arrived around 1:00 a.m. at a community where we knew no one. Everything was dark; there was no one waiting for us, nor was there a place for us to stay. Faced with this situation, we decided to wait on the riverbank until dawn. We were concerned about mosquitoes—as they tend to be abundant in that area—but throughout the early morning hours, there were almost none, and we recognized this as a sign of God’s care.
On the return journey, the situation was also complicated. We arrived in Loboyacu in the morning with the intention of catching a boat to San Lorenzo, but not a single one passed by all day. Hours went by, and as night fell, we had nowhere to stay and knew no one. At that moment, a woman approached us and kindly offered to let us stay in her home. Later, a man— whom we also did not know—returned with tents and mattresses so that we could rest. Thus, God provided a safe place to spend the night, just in time. Despite the exhaustion and uncertainty, we were able to see how God was with us at every moment, watching over us and providing exactly what we needed. This journey reminded us that He is always present, even in the midst of difficulties.
Praise God for the recent translation progress in Southern Pastaza Quechua - for the first draft, team check and local speaker check of Matthew through to 2 Corinthians.
(DRC)- Bali-Mba
“It’s been a long time since women participated in literacy class”. Christine was one of a few women who participated in the class in the village of Badjenge.
The translation team shares, “During our class in Badjenge, Pastor Samuel, a village Chief, and other village leaders had invited us to hold another class in the same village. This shows that the community is more motivated by the program's presence.”
Prayer Updates:

Printed and distributed more than 120 prayer bulletins to churches
Added more than 100 words to the illustrated dictionary
Maintained one hectare of mandarin trees to help provide funding for the work

Resolve the technical difficulties with the website
Add 1 & 2 Timothy sermons, along with songs and hymns, to the website
Distribute flashcards and record the audio of the above
Promote the website and app in online groups, churches and radio stations
Revise the Mbane orthography so that it is easy to read and write and easy to learn. Pray for the process of drafting the new orthography and for the translators to be comfortable with it.
Publish ten booklets for new readers. Pray for all the steps in the publication and distribution process, and for availability from the translators to approve the text.
Pray with us
Thank you for praying for an effective planning session for the next phase of the project. Praise God there is a new plan, it is being followed, and the results show considerable increase in translation consultation and approval of new texts.
The cocoa field was ravaged by bushfire. The team plans to resume transplanting new seedlings over the summer months. Pray for a successful harvest and a good sale of the produce in favour of the translation & literacy work.
Wycliffe Thai Foundation
Yon sharing a Bible story at a Cafe Wycliffe event.
Yon is from the Hmong language community. He lived away from home as he earned his bachelor’s degree. Yon then continued his studies at seminary and served the church for several years. Next he applied for a job in Wycliffe Thai Foundation through Director Wat’s suggestion and served as the activity coordinator. When he was serving, he was trained in the craft of Oral Bible Storytelling (OBS). He loved it and has since been promoted to become a “champion” for OBS.
Yon’s story continues - he has since led multiple OBS training sessions for minority language groups in Oshiwa* (a restricted access country in SE Asia). He was sent to start a storytelling project in Joy-cluster* (also restricted access) where he trained five people groups from the southern part of this country. Wycliffe Thai Foundation started a new project for ten minority language groups in the same region and sent Yon to lead this work. Recently, Yon has felt the call of God to move closer to the communities he is serving. For safety reasons, it is not possible for Yon to move directly into a local community, but his family was able to move to a remote city nearby. His plan is to travel to the community often and run cross-training training workshops in Thailand.
Pray with us
Praise God that Yon’s church had a mission commissioning service on May 3 for him and his family as they move far from their home and church community.
Thank you for praying for Taew as she begins sharing her ministry in the Chinese-Thai church. Praise God that Taew's church will give her 100% support!
Pray for the ongoing process of searching for an activity coordinator.
Continue to pray for the ongoing process of searching for a new Director. Wycliffe Thai Foundation will first work on a new vision, as Vision 2025 is finished. The vision must be set before the search for a new Director begins.
Pray for a cross-cultural “mission mindset” for the Thai church leaders. In August 2028, the Thai church will celebrate 200 years of the gospel in Thailand. They have set goals of 1,000,000 believers, 10,000 churches and 10,000 pastors by that date. But there are no goals for equipping missionaries to help with this plan.
Praise God that Wycliffe Thai Foundation is seeing the fruit of investing in young people and equipping them for missions.

Northern Thai
Wearing traditional Northern Thai clothing, the young Lanna Literacy and Scripture Engagement team make an engaging and colourful presentation highlighting their outreach in local schools and communities.
Lanna Kid’s Club is a Saturday morning class that provides children with the opportunity to learn Lanna reading and writing alongside English lessons. This combination makes learning both enjoyable and engaging. Bible storytelling is included to nurture their understanding of God’s love and values.
Praise God that some children made the decision to accept Christ and have since continued attending church. Even more encouraging is that some parents attended church for the very first time. This marks a significant step for their families. The team says, “We are deeply grateful to God for His guidance and faithfulness throughout every step of this ministry journey.”
During the Lanna Day of Love event in February, the team was blessed with the opportunity to share God’s love through His Word with children at Ban Mae Puka School. The activities included introducing the Lanna script, games, and storytelling based on the parable of the prodigal son. A highlight of the event was inviting children to participate in a short drama, allowing them to take on roles from the parable. This interactive approach helped them not only understand but also remember and retell the story effectively. Ten teachers and about 90 students joined the program. Feedback from both teachers and students was overwhelmingly positive. They especially enjoyed the drama, as it vividly illustrates a father’s love for his child and reflected the profound love of Jesus Christ for humanity.
Pray with us
- Pray for the teaching ministry in schools and the community - that the Lanna team will be a bridge of God’s love to both students, teachers, and community members and that relationships built will lead them to know Jesus Christ.
- Thank you for praying for opportunities for the team to use Lanna scriptures in their activities and for hearts to respond to the Lord. Praise God He has opened so many doors for the team to serve. Continue to pray for wisdom about which to follow up on, good health and fruit in the lives of the children and adults they are reaching with God's truth.
- Please continue to pray for two more interns - that God will lead the right people who have understanding, a heart for missions, perseverance, and humility.

ᐊᓂᐦᔑᓂᓃᒧᐏᐣ – Anishininiimowin (Oji-Cree)
Matthew Windsor (project facilitator) reports, “Summertime in [Kingfisher Lake] sees a number of ministry events: Northern Youth Programs sends volunteers up, churches sometimes send up volunteers, and the William Winter School of Ministry happens at the Bible camp. The Scott family will be coming as usual and our new supervisor Dan Grove will be coming to teach at the camp. We don’t really know what will hit us any given summer; we just pray for God’s will to be done and that we can use the increased interactions with people for his glory.”
Also pray for Bishop Lydia as spent a month out at the hospital in Sioux Lookout. Pray for her recovery from a blood infection.
Blackfoot
Alice Reed (translation consultant) reports, “One exciting piece of news we can share is that the Gospel of John in Blackfoot has just been reprinted for the first time in nearly 50 years! This was a high priority request which allowed Blackfoot believers to begin to use existing Scripture portions immediately within their communities.
In addition to cleaning up and re-typesetting the written text, translators processed hours of audio recordings in order to produce an accompanying audio Scripture app. Copies of John are on their way to Alberta at this very moment. There are a few technical issues delaying the launch of the app, but we pray they will be resolved soon.”
Maskwacis Cree Nation - Trauma Healing (April 22 to May 27)
Robyn Kunz (Trauma Healing facilitator) reports, “Participants included two ladies who teach at the Maskwacis Cultural College. They really appreciated that this program is Christian-based as opposed to "worldly" or "new age" and especially the emphasis on Scripture memorization with gestures. Sharing their stories and finding parallels in the Joseph story was a real hit. One young father was clearly impacted by the group and said: "This has helped me understand healing and given me tools to help others". The two ladies are interested in continuing prayer and possibly becoming facilitators themselves.” Praise God!

Eastern Lawa
The Eastern Lawa team participated in the annual Wilanka Lawa cultural festival in February. They set up a booth with tables and materials on display for people to interact with. The goal was to increase exposure to the written Lawa language materials. And the hope was to generate interest from schools or other places where people want to learn to read and write their own language. The booth included many games and hundreds of people visited and had fun playing literacy games involving written Lawa.
Praise God that a team from Wycliffe Canada visited the Lawa office and spent time learning about the project, hearing about the impact and praying for the team.
Thank you for your prayer
⚬ Thank you praying for Rosie Blok’s heart issues over the past year. Praise God she had an ablation surgery in mid-March and has recovered well from that.
Community Testing Session
⚬ The team worked through a team check for 1st and 2nd Peter. Praise God the books have been checked and they are ready for community testing. Pray for three or more people for the community testing who haven't been involved in the drafting and who are available and capable to answer questions.
⚬ Greg and Rosie Blok hope to spend time in Thailand to continue to serve the Eastern Lawa people and translation team. Praise God! Bloks have booked upcoming flights to Thailand. They will attend the workshop for translation consultant development in July. And the translation team will also be able to attend and that the book of James is ready for consultant checking! Pray that will find two suitable people who are not from the team - to help with being uninitiated testers for the workshop. Pray the Blok’s truck and computers will be ready to use when they arrive in Thailand.

In Southern and Northern Pastaza, remote monitoring was carried out through reports from local leaders. Despite connectivity limitations in some communities, the reports confirmed that the pilot program is functioning properly, and subsequent trips will be made to continue the work in the jungle communities. Praise God!
In Southern Pastaza, during the month of November, a week-long leadership training was held in the Christian Alliance Church community, using the Understanding the Christian Faith material. Thirty people participated, including leaders and church members, making it a time of learning and strengthening of faith.
The translation team gives thanks to God that facilitator Yuliño's November trip to Southern Pastaza went smoothly and was encouraging and uplifting for the leaders and translators.
Praise God for the completion of these translation tasks in the Southern Pastaza translation of Matthew to Romans: first draft, team check, local speaker check, and incorporation of editing notes.
Prayer Updates

Bali revision team singing before testing the latest translation
It is amazing to read how the young people in the Bali community are involved in the language work. One young person opened a WhatsApp group to promote the Bali language among young Bali speakers. Bali youth are also dedicating themselves to composing Scripture-based songs in the Bali language.
Literacy program for church leaders
More encouraging news from the field is that pastors are requesting portions of Scripture in Bali - from the Bible translation office - in order to prepare their Sunday sermons. We are told that if the congregation doesn't hear the passage read in Bali, they are not happy that Sunday!
Praise God for the recent translation work that includes adding 52 words to the dictionary, consultant-checking Revelation 1-16, adding Ephesians to the Bible app and preparing 25 hymns for printing.
Pray for the translation team’s goals to complete the consultant check of Revelation 17-22, maintain the Bafwasende palm grove, write and distribute the bi-monthly prayer bulletin, organize a special fundraising Sunday, add Ephesians and 1 & 2 Peter to the website and record Ephesians and 1 & 2 Peter in audio. The hope is to also add sermons, songs and hymns to the website and record audio for the same.
⚬ Pray for the challenge of waiting for both radio stations in the area to be repaired; many people want to hear the Scriptures read on the radio.
⚬ Pray for the Bali literacy teacher, Pastor Bayasana Athanase, who continues to suffer from his stroke.
⚬ Pray for the safety of the DRC which continues to deteriorate. There is a flood of displaced people in Bafwasende, sleeping under the open sky.
⚬ Pray for good effectiveness for the next project planning session that is currently underway.
⚬ Pray for the third consultant checking session of Revelation chapter 17-22 and for its preparations.

Wycliffe Thai Foundation
Tik is a single young man who served as an intern with Wycliffe Thai Foundation and was given the opportunity to lead a short-term team to the Kinsha* region. On this trip, he was deeply moved by the needs of the local people. After Tik finished his internship, he continued working with Wycliffe Thai Foundation for a while and had another opportunity to lead a team to the same country. This second trip strengthened his burden even more and his passion to serve the people there continued to grow.
Tik committed himself to learning the local language. His plan was to study the language for one year before moving to the country. However, during his time of study, a war broke out, making it impossible for him to go as planned. He chose to continue studying the language, hoping the situation would improve, but this did not happen. Eventually, Tik decided to go into the country to learn the language directly. He placed his hope and effort into studying at a local university. With strong passion and commitment, he successfully completed two years of language study. Now, having finished this season of preparation, he is praying and seeking God’s direction for the next step in serving the people of that country. Pray for Tik in his efforts and dedication to serving for Christ.
Pray for Taew (Wycliffe Thai Foundation member) as she begins sharing her ministry in the Chinese-Thai church. Pray that the church members will understand the work and want to be part of the ministry.
Isan Oral Bible Storying: Khun Lamyai first heard that ‘Jesus is a powerful and mighty one who came to help humanity’ when she was about ten years old. Now at the age of 74, she had never since heard the story of God. On the day the Isan Oral Bible Translation team brought the translated stories for a community check, Khun Lamyai heard the story of Jesus once more. Joy shared the gospel and challenged Khun Lamyai in her faith, saying, ‘God has shown you grace and is giving you another opportunity—by allowing you to hear the gospel clearly once more before the end of your life.’ Two weeks later, Khun Lamyai decided to believe and welcomed Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Praise God!
Khun Lamyai in prayer
⚬ Pray for the Isan team goals to organize monthly prayer and fellowship meetings with local churches and help the churches recognize the value of using Scripture accurately and more effectively. Pray also for the goal to host training workshops on translating different literary genres in the Gospel of Luke.

Northern Thai
At a recent Bible translation conference the Northern Thai Lanna team helped to organize a booth and manage Zoom sessions. This allowed them to see ministry work involving collaborators from many countries, observe the Bible translations process, and further develop their English language skills.
Lanna Kid’s Club update: The club had its first activities after the Lanna office moved into the community. The team invited a group of interested participants to join a three-day reading and writing program that focused on Lanna script literacy, as well as reading the Bible and other books in the Lanna language. Participants read the story of the prodigal son from the gospel of Luke. Many shared that Jesus’ teachings are beautiful and full of forgiveness. It was a very touching experience.
⚬ Praise God the children are able to remember the Bible stories they are learning at Lanna Kid’s Club and are sharing them with their classmates.
⚬ Pray for all the children and adults who come to the Lanna Center - that they will sense God's presence and love and grow in their knowledge and love for the Lord.
⚬ Pray for the goal to teach adult classes as well as train some school teachers to read, write and teach Lanna. The team also plans to have reading groups to follow up after the classes.
⚬ Pray the Lanna team members will also continue to grow stronger in their faith and in their relationships as team members.
⚬ Thank you for praying for JaJa as she completed her internship. Praise God she finished well and is now preparing to return to her home area to serve her community by starting a literacy program in her mother tongue, Sgaw Karen. She plans to apply to Wycliffe Thailand Foundation over the coming year with the plan of serving on a team in a neighboring country in the future.

Blackfoot

⚬ Let us pray for the health and well-being of the entire community of Pastaza, especially the children and the elderly. Let us also ask God to provide better living conditions, such as housing, access to water, and other basic needs.
⚬ Let us pray for the leaders in Apurímac and the jungle region, that God may strengthen them and that they may remain steadfast in the Lord’s work, and for all that God is doing through the use of water filters in the jungle.

Indigenous Initiatives
At a recent prayer gathering for the Indigenous Initiatives, Rosie Jane Tailfeathers from the Blackfoot community shared these prayer items:
The Blackfoot translation project
⚬ Pray for the translation team to focus on their spiritual strength and unity. Pray for wisdom to accurately convey complex theological concepts into the local Blackfoot languages and dialects.
⚬ The team is currently consultant checking the first 100 verses of Luke and they have had to make a lot of edits. Pray they can learn from this process and improve on it as they move forward with translating the next 100+ verses.
⚬ Pray for a clean, clear re-recording of the audio translation. Pray the team can come up with a method that works well with them.
⚬ The plan is to reprint the Book of John and make a Blackfoot Bible translation app this year. Pray for good engagement and feedback on the Scriptures as we distribute translated versions of John. Pray for a good test of the translation of the 100 verses in Luke in the Blackfoot communities.
The Bible for all Bike Ride
From July 5-18, we will cycle hundreds of km from White Rock, B.C. to Calgary, A.B. with a team of dedicated cyclists. We’re aiming to raise US $50,000. Our goal is to bring God’s Word to believers in some of the most difficult and sensitive contexts around the world.
Why it matters
Imagine if owning a Bible meant risking your safety or freedom. Imagine meeting in secret with other Christians, reading Scripture in a language you barely understood. Yet their hunger for God’s Word is unwavering. They are waiting, praying, and longing to encounter Scripture clearly—in their own language—for the very first time.
Through this ride, we’re raising funds to support sensitive Bible translation projects and place the life-changing message of Scripture into the hands of those who have never had it before.
Whether you join the team as a rider or roadie, or support the mission with prayers and donations, every bit helps. Please click here for details.

Here I am for Mission活動。
Eastern Lawa
The Eastern Lawa translation team held events in four Lawa villages in December 2025. Each team member held an outreach event in their own village as well as two other villages besides their own. The villages were Nafon, Ban Khun, Bor Sangae and KongLoi. A team visiting from Singapore helped with the events. Through various activities, many people heard about the birth of Jesus. Many gifts were also distributed, as well as some small scholarships to children to help pay for school costs. Praise God for these opportunities.
Praise God for the recent progress in translating 2 Peter - the first draft, team check and back translation have all been completed. Greg Blok, project facilitator, asks us to pray for the team as they work through a team check for 1 & 2 Peter. Greg says, “We are planning to get these books community tested and then consultant checked in June or July. The community test [will be done] with some people who haven't been involved in the drafting. Pray that we can get all these done by April”.
Thank you for praying for Greg and Rosie Blok as they settle back into life in New Zealand and get into a normal rhythm of work and life. Pray for Rosie as she recovers from surgery to remove two areas of cancer - one basal cell on her face and another melanoma on her abdomen. Greg shares that the surgeries went well, but Rosie still has swelling under her right eye close to where the cancer was removed.
⚬ Pray for the translation team as they move forward with the first draft of the books of 1 and 2 Corinthians.
⚬ Pray for the preparation of setting up a booth at the annual King Wilanka festival - to promote literacy.
Prayer Hour
We invite you to join us online in prayer on Tuesday, April 14. The Eastern Lawa project is our focus, and we'll enjoy an hour of worship, Scripture reading, stories from the projects, quiet prayers and group prayers.
AIDIA
In August, Pastor Lot Arahuanaza participated in workshops on safe water, organized by AIDIA. During this training, he received a single water filter to take back to his church. Upon returning to his community in Northern Pastaza, he shared what he had learned with the families. The community became aware of the importance of drinking filtered water. Today, the water is filtered every day in two shifts, morning and afternoon, starting at 4:00 a.m., with designated individuals ensuring that there is enough for everyone. Neighbors arrive with their buckets to take safe water home, both for drinking and cooking. This practice has brought positive changes to the community. Health has improved, and along with it, unity, mutual support among neighbors, and a sense of community have been strengthened.
Thank you for praying for the leaders who participated in this training and for the families who received water filters. Thank God the leaders continue to serve with the community and help the families to take care of their health.
⚬ Praise God for these completed translation tasks: the first draft - Matthew to 1 Corinthians 13; team check - Matthew to Romans; the native speaker check - Matthew to Romans; and incorporation of notes - Matthew to Romans 5.
⚬ Thank God to sustain the team of translators, so that more people can hear the Word of God. Thank God for the care, health, and strength He has given the team of translators, who continue steadfast in the work the Lord has entrusted to them.
⚬ Pray for the progress of the translation projects. May God grant wisdom to the translators, consultants, and facilitators in their work, and also bless their families. Please also pray for local volunteers to get involved in working with the communities.
(DRC)- Bali-Mba
Abaya Koko, a young participant in the Alpha class in Bandjwade (in the Mba community), thanked the team who made it possible for him to learn Mbane (the language of the Mba people); not only the Holy Scriptures but also he can read all other Mba language books.
Prayer
The people in both the Bali and Mba language communities are asking for prayer: As the DRC is plaguing in general, may God give them peace and a good working environment so that the translation work can continue. May God protect the teams’ good physical and spiritual health to continue with the work.
Mba:
⚬ The translation of Revelation 1-8 and Revelation 9-12 have also been drafted.
⚬ Four literacy classes of 44 participants were held. Praise God! The Mba team connected with 40 churches and 13 villages.
Bali:
⚬ Revelation 12-22 and Colossians 1-4 will be prepared for a consultant check.
⚬ Ephesians and 1 & 2 Peter will be added to the app. Scripture, sermons, hymns and songs will be recorded and added to the website.
⚬ A field of palm trees will be planted and maintained to support the translation work.
Wycliffe Thai Foundation
In October 2024, the first Monthly Mission Prayer Meeting was held in Bangkok. In the beginning, Director Wat challenged persons interested in missions (who were unsure where to start) to start a regular meeting for believers to come together in prayer for mission work, the local church, the city of Bangkok and God’s mission to unreached people groups. In October 2025, missionaries celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Meeting. They also share about their service to the local people and encourage spiritual growth, faith and unity among prayer group participants.
As the group moves into their second year, they pray for “continued growth—both spiritually and numerically. Their desire is to encourage deeper participation in prayer for mission, develop future prayer leaders, expand prayer groups to other corners of Bangkok and support the missionaries who come to share with the group.
The Monthly Prayer Meeting is a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the power of consistent prayer. They thank everyone who has participated, supported, and prayed for this ministry. To God be the glory as they continue the journey together. Please pray for them to find regular mission speakers who will come to share at the monthly prayer meetings. Please also pray for more Thai people to join the prayer meetings.”
Thank you for Praying:
⚬ Nov 2-8 - Three churches sent 30 youths to participate in the Here I am for Mission event. Praise God for the safety experienced by everyone involved.
⚬ Nov 9 - The Monthly Prayer Meeting group held a prayer service on the Logos Hope ship. About 93 people joined in prayer together and the event ran smoothly. Participants also came to know more about Bible translation and literacy work in the region.
⚬ Nov 11 - Both in person and online events were held for the Wycliffe World Day of Prayer, including about 20 stories and prayer requests.
⚬ Nov 17 - The Wycliffe Thai Foundation office ran a workshop to inform the Thai pastors about where people who speak Zang* live in Southeast Asia and how the Thai church could start praying for them. Praise the Lord that 25 people attended. Pray that many people will start praying for Zang people.

Northern Thai
The Lanna team had opportunities to hold Christmas events for seven schools and two communities. In Chiang Mai, the event was held at the house they are renting, with approximately 125 participants. These included students from the Lanna Kids Club, along with their parents. Also neighbours and adult Lanna language learners were invited. Through this event, participants were able to clearly hear and receive the message of the Gospel. Praise God!
Praise God for these encouraging updates: The team visited five churches to serve, share about the ministry, or join in church activities. One church member has been paying the rent for the Lanna Center. Members from churches have invited the team to teach in some schools. Some churches have started using the Northern Thai Bible in their services. Especially significant is the Sankampaeng School where Oi has prayed about serving for many years. This is a very large "magnetic" school that draw many students from all over Chiang Mai to attend.
Thank you for praying for wisdom about how to follow up well with all the opportunities being presented to the Northern Thai Lanna team. Praise God for Oi’s words: "I continue to get more requests for events, classes and special activities. The team was very busy over the holidays with Lanna Christmas events where they shared the truth of Christmas to hundreds of people. Event participants were attentive and engaged and many had never heard the meaning of Christmas before. Over 60 children said they believe in Jesus during the presentations.” Pray for the schedule Oi has made for the coming year. Pray for the upcoming training of some of the school teachers to continue the Lanna classes on their own.
⚬ Praise God! Beam is now a "Wycliffe Staff Member" who is trying to raise support for his ministry - from churches and individuals. Beam is doing well and has had opportunities to serve in his church and communicate his vision. The church is in the process of deciding how to support him. Please pray they will understand and support him well in prayer, finances and encouragement. He needs to raise 50% of his support by April.
⚬ Pray for the Lanna team as they train in producing podcasts in March and April.
⚬ Pray for two more Thai people to apply for an internship and for the team to continue to work together well with love and mutual respect. Pray for Oi the leader - for health, strength, safety, wisdom and joy. Pray for Kook and Tar - that they will continue to develop a vision for how the Lord wants to use them in the future. Pray that the internship will prepare them for further service.

Noemí Rojas

Thai Lanna
Eastern Lawa
A university professor from Chiang Mai contacted our team asking about the work they have done with developing the Lawa language. He then helped to organize our team getting into three different schools and running Saturday taster classes for students who were interested in learning how to read their own language. This has led to another opening in a school where our team will go in each week and teach Lawa literacy and kids will be able to choose that subject. Praise God for the way He opens doors.
Literacy: YouTube videos for the literacy lessons have been recorded and are in post production. Upon completion of the post production, they will be uploaded to the YouTube channel. Continue to promote literacy to schools and offer to teach kids in different grades, as well as run an adult literacy class.
Scripture Engagement: A few more Lawa worship songs were recorded.
● Please pray for the Lawa team's teaching at a new school, Wang Kong School on Wednesdays.
●Thank you for praying for Greg and Rosie and their transition back to living in New Zealand. Praise God they found a car and a rented house to live in. Praise God they are reconnecting with their kids and family. Continue to pray for the Bloks as they settle and get back into a normal rhythm of work and life, while at the same time, Greg stays connected with the project, consulting for the Bible translation activities going forward.

Pastor Augusto Chávez, from the community of Soplin, actively participated in the Bible translation review process alongside native speakers of Southern Pastaza Quechua. He emotionally expressed that the translation "is well done, understandable, and clear," which fills him with hope, as now the Word of God can reach his people in a more comprehensible way.
He emphasized that this effort benefits not only pastors and leaders, but also the entire community, which eagerly awaits the completion of the project. For Having the Bible in their own language is not only a spiritual resource, but also an invaluable treasure that strengthens their faith, identity, and community life.
With gratitude, the pastor affirmed that the church in Soplin prays constantly for the translators and collaborators, so that the work may be completed soon. "We are waiting for the Word in our language," he said, "because we know that it will transform lives, bring unity, and bless our families for generations." - Noemí Rojas, water project facilitator.
● The team reviewed Romans 1-8. The review of Acts 8-28 with the native speaker was completed. Moving forward with the first draft of the book of 1 and 2 Corinthians.
● Consultant Felix approved all the notes for the book of John.
● Facilitator Yuliño has been monitoring the team and providing support in areas necessary for their progress.
● Thank you for praying for the Lord to grant health, wisdom, and strength to the team of translators, in every stage of the translation work. Thank God for His care and provision for the team of translators. Pray that He would continue to strengthen their lives and grant them wisdom to move forward in the translation work.
● Thank you for praying for the translators' families, that they may be an emotional and spiritual support, knowing that they are an important part of a work that will transform lives. Praise God for His protection over the translators' families. Pray that God will always guide them and give them encouragement and unity.
DRC - Bali / Mba
During the checking session of Romans, the team struggled to find an appropriate translated word for “grace”. Their translation consultant explained that sometimes translators need to invent new words and gave them an article about ways to do that. After serval discussions, they decided that a new compound word, “heart of compassion” was very close to what they needed. The team will be following up with the community to find out what they think.
Pray for the challenges faced by the team:
The surrounding area is becoming increasingly unsafe and the roads are in very bad shape. This makes travel extremely dangerous. There has been an unusual period of drought which has affected the paddy crop. The economy of DRC is negatively impacting all aspects of life, children's schooling and medical care.
● Consultant-checked Romans 5-16. Completed a third consultant check on 1,2,3 John.
● Added Acts and John to the app
● Recorded a hymn, a sermon and two songs.
● May God be with the translation team throughout this year so that there may be success. Grant them longevity, wisdom and good health to thrive in the ministry of Bible translation.
● Brother Bayasana Athanase, literacy teacher, he stays in the hospital for treatment, may God heal him.
● Pray for motorbikes for the staff of the translation team since this will also help in the vision-sharing activities and community checking with Bali speakers.
● May God guide the Bali team's journey for the consultant checking and the team’s safe return.
● Thank God for the success of Two Scripture Engagement workshops (Trauma Healing & Gospel and Culture).

Joey and Toong Pang decided to establish an Isan Oral Bible Translation Centre in Udon Thani after the language survey and pastors meeting in October 2025. They moved there with the idea of engaging the local Nong Sai Fellowship church to be part of the translation project.
The Pangs built up the relationship and volunteered to teach Sunday school, as well as help with preaching. The pastor at Nong Sai Fellowship Church is named Na. She is from Thai Yong, a minority group in the northeast. She met Christ when she went to work in South Korea and then decided to come back and pastor the Nong Sai Fellowship church. When she first heard Joey and Toong Pang share about Wycliffe’s vision of reaching the minority people, she responded, “I will let my church start praying for the unreached people groups, starting with the 20 minority groups in Isan region.” From that day on, Nong Sai Church prays every Sunday for the minority groups. Now Nong Sai Fellowship Church is part of the Isan Oral Bible Translation, taking care of Toong Pang and Joey, and supporting people to help in back translation and community check.
● The Bangkok monthly prayer meeting has been faithfully happening for a year now! Pray for the team as they hope to expand the prayer groups in Bangkok.
● Thai Christian Youth for Mission (TCYM) meets every Friday to pray for the unreached people groups. Every quarter the group invites a speaker to share with them.
● Thank you for praying for the opening of the Isan Oral Bible Translation office in September. Praise God that representative pastors and missionaries in Udon Thani attended the celebration, along with Director Wat and the Oral Bible Translation team.
● After more than 14 years of faithful service, Director Wat has informed the Wycliffe Thai board that he plans to step down from his position in March 2027. As a result, Wycliffe Thai Foundation will soon begin the process of identifying a new director to replace Wat.

The Intern Tar reflects, “I have been learning a variety of things. Each activity is very useful. One memorable activity was the opportunity to teach reading and writing Lanna to students in the Pa Pao community Lanna Kids Club. When I first had the opportunity to teach the children, they were a bit shy and didn't dare to express themselves. After studying together many times, I felt a growing closeness between the Lanna team and the children. Over time, I saw the children's behavior change have improved. The children's courage to express themselves and cooperate in various activities are encouraging.”
“The parents of the children also cooperate, welcoming and dropping off their children with open arms. After completing the Kids Club summer session, the Lanna Team organized a networking activity between the Lanna team, the children, and their parents, giving them the opportunity to get to know each other and build stronger relationships… I hope the new Lanna Center will be a blessing and bring many people to know God's story [and follow] Jesus Christ.” - Intern Tar
● Praise God! Over 200 students have participated in Lanna events where the Northern Thai Bible is used. Well over 100 students have taken copies of the book of John at Lanna events. The team joined an Ethno-Arts workshop with participants from seven countries. They produced good materials for use in teaching during the classes and club meetings. They choose Bible verses that are easy for the students to understand. Recently they taught Old Testament stories from Creation to the story of Moses and the Red Sea. The students are excited to retell the stories.
● God opened the door for the team to move their workplace to a house in the community, close to the schools they serve. They are building great relationships with the community there.
● Project leader, Oi, hopes to help train others during a Teacher Training workshop for Prai preschool teachers.
● The team plans to teach an intensive three-day adult class at the new Lanna Center for community members.

Here I am for Mission (HiM)青年營;當中深受宣教理念的感動。

(Vancouver Island and \North of BC area)的誇誇嘉夸族(Kwak'wala)。
